We have no records for Harry from his baptism Feb, 1885 until his marrage in Sep, 1907.

He was 3 years old when his father died 1/30/1888.

There were a number of Harry Hoopers near his age in that part of England but most of them were easily ruled out as not possible or unlikely.

So, was he taken in by some family but kept his full name, came over on a ship with many other children, like his sister Kate, or ?

In the 1920 U.S. census he stated that he immigrated in 1900 and in the 1930 census he stated 1898. So he would have been either 13 or 15 years old.
