In Isaac Quackenbush of Oppenheim's will, probated in 1829, Nancy is referenced as the wife of Christopher Snell.

In the 1848 tax records for Orleans, Jefferson Co., NY a Nancy Snell is listed (40a., value 100, tax .91) there are other Snell's listed in that census, but NO Christopher. He was in the Auburn Prison in Cayuga, NY starting in 1848? until ?

In the 1850 census of Orleans, a Nancy Snell (age 37?) was listed as head of household with 8 children, with Frederick at age 20 as the oldest and Jacob at age 2 as the youngest.
